Not a lot going on today – we’re just taking care of some loose ends. Returned our DVR, stopped by the apartment to pick up some stuff and do a quick cleaning, ran up to Davis to see an old friend, etc. Seeing J was awesome and so was meeting his kids, but Andy and I were much too tired to try to carry on a coherent conversation.
I did forget to mention that yesterday, while I was napping in the closet, Andy cleaned our refrigerator with Orange Guard because it said on the bottle that it was safe for food and humans. He neglected to notice the pictures of dead ants just above that.
We hit up B&N because I had literally read every book in the house before we packed them up. Here are my purchases from tonight:
- Blink – Malcolm Gladwell (This one is for Andy – I’ve already read it.)
- The Neverending Story – Michael Ende and Ralph Manheim
- Perdido Street Station – China Mieville
- Bloodline - F. Paul Wilson (I highly recommend this entire series.)
- A Prisoner of Birth – Jeffrey Archer
- Best American Mystery Stories 2008 – George Pelecanos and Otto Penzler
- The Case of the Missing Books – Ian Sansom
- I Know This Much is True – Wally Lamb
This should at least get me through Arizona. Andy has already promised that we can stop at bookstores along the way.
